Growing Established Law Firm Seeks Matrimonial Attorney to join their team!
Responsibilities:
- Manage caseload of complex family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division & other related matters
- Conduct consultations with potential clients to understand their legal needs and determine the best course of action
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as divorce papers, custody agreements, and prenuptial agreements
- Settlement negotiation
- Gathering evidence, including financial evidence.
- Preparing necessary documentation.
- Handling issues related to child custody and visitation.
- Referring to mediation.
- Advocating for clients in hearings.
- Overseeing family estates.
- Providing advice on areas such as adoption and guardianship.
Skills & Experience:
- New York Bar Admission
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- 5+ years’ experience in family law practice environment
- Exposure to Microsoft Now / LexisNexis / PerfectLaw or Westlaw software
- Strong written & oral communication skills.
