Job Title:    Accounting Manager

Location:     Mount Vernon, NY (HYBRID)

Salary:        $100k - $120k + Bonus

Growing HVAC Manufacturing & Distribution Company is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their team!

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Oversight: Provide leadership and support to finance and accounting operations to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, achieve departmental goals and objectives, and encourage a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

·        Financial Reporting: Accurately and timely produce recurring financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and other ad-hoc financial analysis, including associated supporting workpaper documentation. Maintain accuracy of general ledger activity.

·        Compliance: Take a key role in the annual financial audit process, government grant audit process, lender reporting process, and complete ongoing income tax, sales tax, highway use tax, and other various compliance requirements.

·        Change Management: Be a change champion for the business as we undergo rapid growth and implement new technology solutions to achieve scalable processes, including a new end-to-end ERP system and ancillary systems.

·        Risk Management: Ensure internal controls surrounding treasury management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and other material financial elements and processes to ensure validity, completeness, and accuracy, as well as monitor and manage credit risk using analytics and credit insurance.

·        Performance Management, Training & Development: Support the development and implementation of performance management processes that drive accountability and growth. Design and implement training programs that enhance skills and align with company and department objectives.

·        Culture Building: Collaborate with leadership to define and promote our core values, ensuring they are integrated into daily operations and interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with a concentration in Accounting

·        1-3+ years of experience in supervisory role, monthly close, cashflow and financial forecasting, sales and use tax reporting

·        Experience within the manufacturing or distribution industry

·        Proficient with MS Office, particularly Excel, and exposure to various ERP platforms
