Position: Head Cook/Kitchen Manager
Location: Dallas, Tx (Fully on site)
Salary: $55K-$60K
Growing Hospitality Services provider seeks a Growth Focused Head Cook/Kitchen Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
· Create and update menus in collaboration with management, focusing on quality and cost-efficiency.
· Monitor food inventory, place orders, and minimize waste.
· Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and food handling.
· Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
· Must have experience in high volume restaurant environment.
· Support menu creation & implementation
· Responsible for managing inventory & ordering products.
· Maintain consistency in food quality standards & consistency.
· Rotate all products. Label and date all food in kitchen.
· Use preventative maintenance with all kitchen equipment.
· Quality Control & audit each order for adherence to Corporate and Government guidelines.
· Train kitchen staff on company SOPs
· All other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
· Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience preferred.
· Proven experience as a Head Cook, Sous Chef, or similar role in a professional kitchen.
· Current food safe handling certificate
· 3+ years’ experience in a hands-on kitchen environment, preferably in a high volume or catering establishment.
· Strong leadership and team management skills
· Have satisfactory driving record & valid drivers’ license.
· All candidates must pass a background check & drug screen prior to onboarding
