Title:            Senior Rate Analyst

Location:     New York City (Hybrid)

Salary:          $90,000 - $110,000 + Bonus

Prestigious International Law firm is looking for a Rate Analyst to join their team!

Responsibilities

• Works with partners and other firm management to implement complex annual rate structures and inputs data into Aderant Expert Rates with a high degree of accuracy
• Coordinates with team to assist with day-to-day operations, including ad-hoc requests, as well as timekeeper rate changes and client maintenance
• Creates timekeeper rate charts for partner and firm management review
• Prepares realization analysis related to proposed and existing fee arrangements
• Assists with updating documentation and historical database related to client, matter and firm billing rates
• Researches and responds to requests from partners, clients and other accounting staff on rate related inquiries
• Responds to questions and requests in relation to RFPs
• Understands how attorney ranks/class year and seniority increases are built into rate structures
• Implements split billing arrangements when needed 
• Maintains and sets up alternative fee arrangements where applicable
• Assists with matter creation process, monitoring rates and compliance with client billing guidelines
• Creates and maintains both internal and client required task-based billing matter plans
• Complies with and understands Firm’s operation, policies and procedures

Qualifications

• B.S. in finance or related field preferred
• Previous experience 5+ years as a rates analyst, billing coordinator, pricing analyst or related position at a major law firm required
• Strong background and knowledge of major law firm billing and rate processes required
• Experience using Aderant or Elite software preferred
