Title:           Senior Accountant

Location:   Long Island, NY (Fully in Office)

Salary:       $90K-$115K + Bonus

Growing Family Consumer Goods Distribution Organization Seeks a Senior Accountant to Lead their team!

Responsibilities:

·        Assist in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end preparation of comparative financial statements.

·        Assist with the management of the annual budget and forecast.

·        Prepare weekly financial dashboards and sales comparative reports

·        Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

·        Ensure that accounting transactions are in accordance with GAAP

·        Oversee, maintain and analyze fixed assets and the general ledger accounts

·        Supervise AP process for accurate coding to the general ledger

·        Responsible for accurate and timely filing of monthly sales tax

·        Oversee Cost Accounting and Cost of Goods and Cost Control

·        Collaborate cross functionally with internal teams including Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain

·        Review and process weekly payroll for approximately 60 employees (

·        Review quarterly payroll and payroll tax analysis

·        Supervise the credit and collections manager in all processes, including collections, lockbox monitoring, cash application, credit card processing and credit memos.

·        Prepare monthly commissions reports, sales programs and quarterly rebate reports

·        Assists with implementation of changes and improvements to help automate financial system

Skills & Expectations:

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.

·        At minimum 5 years of direct Accounting and Finance experience

·        Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required

·        2+ years of hands-on experience processing payroll

·        3+ years of experience with ERP Systems, NetSuite preferred
