Pet Distribution Company seeks a Staff Accountant to join their Team!

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Conduct regular reconciliations of bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts.
• Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations to management.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and information to external auditors.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support business operations.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Knowledge of operational accounting like sales orders and costing is a plus
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus
