Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Farmingdale, NY

Salary: $90K - $100K

Stable distribution company seeks a Senior Accountant to join their Team!

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end closing process. Prepare journal entries, generate financial statements, analyze, and summarize balance sheet and income statement accounts with supporting documentation.  
• Review of financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies and procedures.
• Prepare any Ad-Hoc reports as needed. Work with outside auditors.
• Assist with projects that require creativity, strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and apply technological tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years years experience
• CPA preferred
• Excellent communication skills able to deal with Management and Ownership.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of G/L account, solid analytical skills and knowledge of GAAP are required. Must be self-directed.

·        Must have advanced Excel and Access (Macros, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.).
